NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS The Department of Education (DOE), Facilities Maintenance Branch, will accept applications from licensed contractors in ELECTRICAL, HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING and GLAZING trades to perform EMERGENCY REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE (R&M) PROJECTS for public schools on the Island of Oahu. All interested licensed contractors are invited to submit a Qualification Application before 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Applications should be addressed to the DOE Facilities Maintenance Branch, 729 Kakoi Street, Honolulu, Hawaii, 96819. These R&M projects, in the ELECTRICAL, HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL(C-63 license required), PLUMBING and GLAZING trades shall be solicited on an emergency basis, and each project shall amount to not more than $25,000.00 per job. Because Emergencies can occur at any time, Contractors must be available on a 24-hour basis, 7 days/week. In accordance with HRS: Chapter 104, Contractors must pay employees prevailing wages at the current rate schedule for public construction work when performing Emergency Repair and Maintenance work.
