A REQUEST FOR AMENDMENTS TO CHAPTER 21, REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (The Land Use Ordinance), RELATING TO PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN TRANSIT-ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT AREAS
The City Council initiated a proposal to amend the Land Use Ordinance (LUO), relating to Planned Development Projects in Transit-Oriented Development Areas.
Resolution No. 16-308, CD1, Relating to Planned Development Projects in Transit-Oriented Development Areas: Amends LUO Section 21-2.110.2 Planned Development-Resort, Planned Development-Apartment, and Interim Planned Development-Transit (IPD-T) to:
Require that developers present proposed IPD-T projects to the City Council in the same month as the proposals are presented to neighborhood boards, and that the presentation include requested flexibility sought by the developer regarding LUO development standards and use regulations and the community benefits package offered in exchange for the requested flexibility.
Require that the Director of the Development of Planning and Permitting, upon acceptance of a completed application, make the accepted application publicly available online within five days of its acceptance.
Public testimony is to be taken at the hearing. Those persons desiring to testify may register prior to the public hearing at the public hearing site and are encouraged to submit one copy of their testimony in writing. Fifteen (15) copies of written testimony should be filed with the Planning Commission at least forty-eight (48) hours before the date of the public hearing. Attendance at the public hearing is not necessary to submit written testimony. One copy may be faxed (768-4663) or mailed (Planning Commission, 650 South King Street, 7th Floor, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813). All interested persons are invited to attend.
