Traffic Schedule No. 2017-9
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2017-9 TO AMEND SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XI OF SECTION 15-8.3(b) ESTABLISHING NO TURNS; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXVIII OF SECTION 15-17.2(d) ESTABLISHING RESTRICTED PEDESTRIANS CROSSING ROADWAYS; SCHEDULE XXXIV OF SECTION 15-18.3(c) ESTABLISHING BICYCLE LANES; SCHEDULE XXXVIII OF SECTION 15-24.17 ESTABLISHING MISCELLANEOUS TRAFFIC CONTROLS.
Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:
a. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following items:
"Hookaahea St., for its entire length."
"Hoomalie St., for its entire length (City-owned portion)."
b. By amending Schedule XI of Sec. 15-8.3(b) establishing no turns by adding thereto the following item:
"Park Row. No "U" turn from Park Row at Nale St. from the north bound direction to the south bound direction."
c. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
"Hookaahea Pl-Hookaahea St. Traffic on Hookaahea Pl. shall stop before entering Hookaahea St."
"Hookaahea St-Hoomalie St. Traffic on Hookaahea St. shall stop before entering Hoomalie St."
"Hoonana St-Hookaahea St. Traffic on Hoonana St. shall stop before entering Hookaahea St."
"Nale St-Park Row. Traffic on Nale St. shall stop before entering Park Row."
d. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
"California Ave., northern side, distance 110′ westerly direction from a point 10′ east of the eastern curb prolongation of Koele Wy."
"8th Ave., Koko Head side, distance 43′ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Harding Ave."
"Gulick Ave., Ewa side, distance 74′ makai directin from a point 212′ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Pahukui St."
"Hookaahea Pl., both sides, and including its turnaround area."
"Hookaahea St., northern side, for its entire length and including both turnaround areas."
"Hoomalie St., both sides, between Hookaahea and Hoowalea Sts."
"Hoonana St., both sides, for its entire length."
"N. King St., makai side, distance 70′ Ewa direction from a point 64′ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Bannister St."
"Nanea St., makai side, distance 32′ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Punahou St."
2. By amending thereto the following items:
Citron St., makai side, distance 50′ Ewa direction from the traffic island of Citron and Date Sts.; to read:
"Citron St., makai side, distance 183′ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Isenberg St., including the Date/Citron Sts. traffic island."
Date St., mauka side, distance 32′ Ewa direction from the traffic island of Citron and Date Sts and within the traffic island of Citron and Date Sts.; to read:
"Date St., mauka side, distance 161′ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Isenberg St., including the Date/Citron Sts. traffic island."
Kale Pl., mauka/Ewa side, between Kalihi St. and its dead end; to read:
"Kale Pl., mauka/Ewa side, from Kalihi St., to and including its turnaround area."
Kui Pl., mauka side, entire length; to read:
"Kui Pl., mauka side, for its entire length and including its turnaround area."
Prospect St., makai side, distance 120′ Koko Head direction from a point 72′ Koko Head of fire hydrant #2402; to read:
"Prospect St., makai side, distance 123′ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Prospect Pl."
e. By amending Schedule XXVIII of Sec. 15-17.2(d) establishing restricted pedestrians crossing roadways by amending thereto the following item:
Prospect St., the unmarked crosswalk across Prospect St. on the Ewa and Koko Head sides of the intersection of Prospect and Nehoa Sts.; to read:
"Prospect St., the unmarked crosswalk across Prospect St. on the Ewa, Koko Head and mauka sides of the intersection of Prospect and Nehoa Sts."
f. By amending Schedule XXXIV of Sec. 15-18.3(c) establishing bicycle lanes by adding thereto the following item:
"Wikao St., both sides, for its entire length."
g. By amending Schedule XXXVIII of Sec. 15-24.17 establishing miscellaneous traffic controls by adding thereto the following item:
"Hoonana St., for its entire length, the speed limit shall be 20 m.p.h."
Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
