“FOR SALE” DLNR-DOCARE, hereby gives Notice of Sale by competitive sealed bidding and public sale for one (1) 2005, 36′ Almar Rigid Hull Aluminum Inflatable vessel with a full cabin, twin 355 HP Cummins diesels coupled to jet drives and tricker trailer with an appraised value of $75,000.00; and one (1) 1993, 26′ Almar Rigid Hull Inflatable vessel with open center console, twin 150 HP Mercury 2-cycle outboard motors and float-on boat trailer with an appraised value of $10,000.00 as of October 18, 2020. Vessels can be inspected at 35 Holomua Street, Hilo on October 21 and 23, 2020 between 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 noon. Bids must be received by 12 noon on October 30, 2020. Bids can be mailed in to DLNR/DOCARE, 35 Holomua Street, Hilo, HI 96720 or turned in at the time of inspection. Bid information shall include the name, address, contact number, vessel information and bid. Bids will be publicly opened at the inspection site on October 30, 2020 at 12:15 p.m. The award shall be made in accordance with the provisions of the notice of sealed bid sale to the highest responsive and responsible bidder, provided that the price offered by such bidder is acceptable to the designated property custodian. If the designated property custodian determines that the bid is not advantageous to the State, such officer may reject the bids in whole or in part and may re-solicit bids or such officer may negotiate the sale, provided that the negotiated sale price is higher than the highest responsive and responsible bidder. Winning bidder will be notified on October 30, 2020. Payment must be made by 12 noon on November 6, 2020. Only US postal money orders, certified checks or cashier’s checks will be accepted. It is the buyer’s responsibility to remove the items within fifteen (15) days of purchase. No guarantees or warranties are given by the State for the items. Major defects, if known, are listed, but the State makes no claim that all defects are known. No sale be invalid if defects are discovered in the item after the sale. The State assumes no responsibility or liability once the items are sold.
