The subjects of the proposed rules are generally summarized as follows:
1) General provisions for review, qualification and implementing a HiDRO, including definitions; specification of amount or percentage to be paid to an alternate payee, or the manner in which the amount or percentage is to be determined; requests by alternate payees for information; responsibilities of the alternate payees to the ERS;
2) Forms, procedures and fees for review of domestic relations orders for qualification as HiDROs; and
3) Procedures for payments pursuant to HiDROs and priority among multiple HiDROs.
The public hearing will be held on January 6, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. at City Financial Tower, 201 Merchant Street, Suite 1400, Honolulu, Hawaii.
All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing and to state their views relative to the proposed rules, either orally or in writing.
