NOTICE

The Council of the City and County of Honolulu at its meeting held on December 5, 2018, laid over and ordered published the following Resolution. Pursuant to Section 3-202.9 of the Revised Charter of the City and County of Honolulu 1973, as amended, the Honolulu City Council hereby gives notice that the following Resolution authorizing proceedings in eminent domain has been introduced and is under its consideration:

RESOLUTION 18-263 (FOR CONDEMNATION) PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION OF A PEDESTRIAN EASEMENT FOR PUBLIC USE, TO WIT: PORTLOCK ROAD BEACH ACCESS EASEMENT, SITUATE AT MAUNALUA, HONOLULU, OAHU, HAWAII, AND DETERMINING AND DECLARING THE NECESSITY OF THE ACQUISITION THEREOF BY EMINENT DOMAIN.

That for public use and purpose, to wit: Portlock Road Beach Access Easement, Parcel 1 (TMK: 3-9-004:041), situate at Maunalua, Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii, proceedings in eminent domain as provided by law be instituted for the acquisition of a pedestrian access easement for pedestrians to access the beach and ocean from Portlock Road over, through, and across Parcel 1.

AYES: Councilmembers Elefante, Fukunaga, Kobayashi, Manahan, Martin, Menor, Ozawa, Pine – 8.
ABSENT: Anderson – 1.
