Traffic Schedule No. 2018-9
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2018-9 TO AMEND SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XI OF SECTION 15-8.3(b) ESTABLISHING NO TURNS; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XXI OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(8) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–SPECIFIED TIMES; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXIV OF SECTION 15-15.1(d) ESTABLISHING CURB LOADING ZONES.
Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:
a. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
“Lahaina St., for its entire length.”
“Papalalo Pl., for its entire length.”
“Punana Lp., for its entire length.”
“Punua Pl., for its entire length.”
2. By amending thereto the following item:
Waikele Rd., between Apowale and Pupupuhi Sts.; to read:
“Waikele Rd., between Apowale St. and Farrington Hwy.”
b. By amending Schedule XI of Sec. 15-8.3(b) establishing no turns in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following item:
“Alakawa St. No right turn from Alakawa St., makai bound, into Costco Gas Facility’s middle driveway.”
2. By amending thereto the following item:
Alakawa St. No left turn from Alakawa St. into the Costco Exit driveway; to read:
“Alakawa St. No left turn from Alakawa St., mauka bound, into Costco Gas Facility’s mauka driveway.”
c. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
“Halawa Dr-Halawa Hgts. Rd. Traffic on Halawa Dr. shall stop before entering Halawa Hgts. Rd.”
“Huakai St-Niulii St. Traffic on Huakai St. shall stop before entering Niulii St.”
“Ihiihi Ave-Whitmore Ave. Traffic on Ihiihi Ave. shall stop before entering Whitmore Ave.”
“Ihiihi Pl-Ihiihi Ave. Traffic on Ihiihi Pl. shall stop before entering Ihiihi Ave.”
“Malae Pl-Halawa Dr. Traffic on Malae Pl. shall stop before entering Halawa Dr.”
2. By amending thereto the following item:
Punana Lp-Punua Pl. Traffic on Punana Lp. shall stop before entering Punana Lp. traveling generally westerly direction stop before T-intersection at junction of Punua Pl. and Punana Lp.; to read:
“Punana Lp (eastern leg)-Punana Lp (southern leg)/Punua Pl.”
3. By deleting therefrom the following items:
“Waikele Rd-Waipahu St. Traffic on Waikele Rd. shall stop before entering Waipahu St.”
“Waipahu Depot St-Waipahu St. Traffic on Waipahu Depot St. shall stop before entering Waipahu St.”
d. By amending Schedule XXI of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(8) establishing tow zones–specified times by amending thereto the following item:
Kamoku St., Koko Head side, distance 365′ from a point 193′ makai of the maki curb prolongation of Lauiki St., 6:30-8:30 a.m. and 2:00-6:30 p.m. school days; to read:
“Kamoku St., Koko Head side, distance 473′ makai direction from a point 193′ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Lauiki St., 6:30-8:30 a.m. and 2:00-6:30 p.m. school days only.”
e. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
“Awaiki St., western side, distance 50′ southerly direction from the southern curb prolongation of Awalai St.”
“Lumikula St., western side, distance 75′ northerly direction from the northern curb prolongation of Penakii Pl.”
2. By amending thereto the following items:
Kamoku St., Koko Head side, distance 227′ from a point 27′ makai direction of the makai curb prolongation of Lauiki St.; to read:
“Kamoku St., Koko Head side, distance 335′ makai direction from a point 27′ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Lauiki St.”
Waipahu St., makai side, from a point 380′ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Leowahine St. to Waipahu Depot Rd.; to read:
“Waipahu St., makai side, from a point 380′ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Leowahine St. to Waipahu Depot St.”
Waipahu St., mauka side, between Hapawalu and Ikepono Sts.; to read:
“Waipahu St., mauka side, between Hapawalu Pl. and Ikepono St.”
Waipahu St., both sides, beteen Waikele Rd. and Amokii St.; to read:
“Waipahu St., mauka side, between Waikele Rd. and Amokii St.”
3. By deleting therefrom the following item:
“Waipahu St., makai side, distance approximately one parking stall immediately Koko Head of Waipahu Depot Rd.”
f. By amending Schedule XXIV of Sec. 15-15.1(d) establishing curb loading zones by deleting therefrom subsection (b) freight loading zone the following item:
“Kamoku St., Koko Head side, distance 60′ from a pt. 365′ makai direction of the makai curb prolongation of Kapiolani Blvd. (fronting 581 Kamoku St.), 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday school days; 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday except State holidays.”
Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
