PUBLIC NOTICE WORKFORCE INNOVATION AND OPPORTUNITY ACT (WIOA) 2020-2023 HAWAI`I COUNTY LOCAL AREA PLAN & HAWAI`I COUNTY WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD BY-LAWS The County of Hawai`i, through its Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD), has developed its proposed Local Area Plan for its 2020-2023 WIOA program. Our Hawai`i County Workforce Development Board is responsible for convening their workforce partners in a collaborative, transparent process to develop and implement a Local Area Plan that aligns with requirements of WIOA and the vision and goals in the Unified State Plan. The Hawai`i County Workforce Development Board By-Laws and Local Area Plan have been updated for adoption at the next Board meeting, 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2020. The OHCD will consider any written comments and views expressed by citizens on the draft Local Area Plan and By-Laws and may modify either, if deemed appropriate.
