Traffic Schedule No. 2019-11
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2019-11 TO AMEND SCHEDULE XVI OF SECTION 15-13.4(a) ESTABLISHING RESERVED PARKING STALLS; SCHEDULE XVIII OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(5) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–PM PEAK;SCHEDULE XX OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(7) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–24 HOURS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXX OF SECTION 15-22.1(a) ESTABLISHING PARKING METER ZONES; SCHEDULE XXXVIII OF SECTION 15-24.17 ESTABLISHING MISCELLANEOUS TRAFFIC CONTROLS.

Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:

a. By amending Schedule XVI of Sec. 15-13.4(a) establishing reserved parking stalls by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Queen Emma St., Ewa side, distance 61′ makai direction from point 12′ makai curb prolongation Queen Emma Ln., for authorized police vehicles only, during hours 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday except holidays and PM tow hours.”

b. By amending Schedule XVIII of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(5) establishing tow zones–PM Peak by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Queen Emma St., Ewa side, distance 260′ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Kukui St.”

c. By amending Schedule XX of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(7) establishing tow zones–24 hours by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Queen Emma St., Ewa side, distance 61′ in the makai direction from a point 12′ makai curb prolongation of Emma Ln. except for authorized police vehicles except during PM peak hours.”

d. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Auloa Rd., southern side, distance 170′ easterly direction from the eastern curb prolongation of Pali Hwy.”

“Auloa Rd., northern side, distance 95′ easterly direction from the eastern curb prolongation of Kalanianaole Hwy.”

“Kahala Ave., makai side, distance 54′ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Black Point Rd.”

“Komo Mai Dr., makai side, distance 95′ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Waimano Home Rd.”

“Lumikula St., eastern side, distance 80′ northerly direction from a point 370′ south of the southern curb prolongation of Penakii Pl.”

“Queen Emma St., Ewa side, between S. Beretania and S. Kukui Sts.”

2. By amending thereto the following items:

Komo Mai Dr., Koko Head side, from a point 1380′ makai of the makai curb line prolongation of Lanikeaha St. and extending in the mauka direction for a distance of 1725′; to read:

“Komo Mai Dr., mauka/Koko Head side, from Waimano Home Rd. to Aamanu St.”

Komo Mai Dr., makai/Ewa side, from a point 30′ mauka of the makai property line of 1730 Komo Mai Dr. and Waimano Home Rd. during hours 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Monday to Friday except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays; to read:

“Komo Mai Dr., makai side, from a point 17′ mauka of the makai property line of 1732 Komo Mai Dr. to a point 95′ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Waimano Home Rd. during hours 6:00 to 9:00 a.m., Monday to Friday except Saturdays, Sundays and State holidays.”

Komo Mai Dr., Ewa side, for a distance of approximately 2500′ in the makai/Honolulu direction from a point 935′ mauka of mauka curb prolongation of Lanikeha Pl. to a point 30′ of makai property line of 1730 Komo Mai Dr.; to read:

“Komo Mai Dr., Ewa/makai side, from Aamanu St. to a point 17′ mauka of the makai property line of 1732 Komo Mai Dr.”

Papakahi Pl., within its turnaround area; to read:

“Papakahi Pl., makai side, from a point 140′ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Paula Dr. to and including its turnaround area.”

3. By deleting therefrom the following item:

“Queen Emma St., Ewa side, distance 150′ in the makai direction from makai curb prolongation of Kukui St.”

e. By amending Schedule XXX of Sec. 15-22.1(a) establishing parking meter zones by adding thereto the following item:

“Queen Emma St., Ewa side, between Vineyard and S. Kukui Sts.”

f. By amending Schedule XXXVIII of Sec. 15-24.17 establishing miscellaneous traffic controls in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Ahilama Rd. Bridge, between Mapumapu Rd. and Waihee Rd., shall have a weight limit of 35 tons.”

“Ala Aolani St. Bridge, between Ala Aoloa Lp. and Ala Hekii Pl., shall have emergency vehicle weight limits as:

Single Axle 16 tons
Tandem 27 tons
Gross 38 tons.”

“East Manoa Rd. Bridge, between Kahaloa Dr. and Kinohou Pl., shall have a weight limit of 28 tons.”

“Farrington Hwy. Bridge, between Kowelo Ave. and UH West Oahu Access Rd., shall have a weight limit of 18 tons.”

“Farrington Hwy. Bridge, between Kualakai Pkwy. and Old Fort Weaver Rd. (western intersection), shall have a weight limit of 18 tons.”

“Farrington Hwy. Bridge, between Old Fort Weaver Rd. (eastern intersection) and Old Fort Weaver Rd. (western intersection), shall have a weight limit of 32 tons.”

“Hauula Homestead Rd. Bridge, between Maakua Rd. and Kukuna Rd., shall have a weight limit of 24 tons.”

“N. Hotel St. Bridge, between River and N. King Sts., shall have emergency vehicle weight limits as:

Single Axle 16 tons
Tandem 27 tons
Gross 38 tons.”

“Huli St. Bridge, between Ala Koa St. and Kalanianaole Hwy., shall have a weight limit of 31 tons.”

“Kamehameha Hwy. Bridge, between Heeia State Park and Imiloa St., shall have a weight limit of 38 tons.”

“Kamehameha Hwy. Bridge, between Pahia Rd. and Kahuhipa St., shall have a weight limit of 31 tons.”

“Kapaa Quarry Rd., distance 500′ northerly direction from a point 650′ north of the northern curb prolongation of Kalanianaole Hwy., the speed limit shall be 20 mph when light is flashing, school days only.”

“N. King St. Bridge, between Umi St. and Gulick Ave., shall have emergency vehicle limits as:

Single Axle 16 tons
Tandem 29 tons
Gross 40 tons.”

“Koali Rd. Bridge, from Waialae Ave. to its Ewa terminus, shall have a weight limit of 19 tons.”

“Komo Mai Dr., mauka bound traffic in the Koko Head most lane must turn right at Aamanu St.”

“Kuakini St. Arch Culvert, between Pali Hwy. and Nuuanu Stream, running under Kuakini St., shall have emergency vehicle weight limits as:

Single Axle 13 tons
Tandem 21 tons
Gross 22 tons.”

“Kulaaupuni St. Bridge, between St. John’s Rd. and Mamoalii Pl., shall have a weight limit of 30 tons.”

“Lusitana St. Bridge, between Pauoa Rd. and S. School St., shall have emergency vehicle weight limits as:

Single Axle 14 tons
Tandem 24 tons
Gross 24 tons.”

“Maliona St. Box Culvert, between Farrington Hwy. and Kulaaupuni St., shall have a weight limit of 19 tons.”

“Naio St. Bridge, between Hala Dr. and Houghtailing St., shall have a weight limit of 24 tons and emergency vehicle weight limits as:

Single Axle 16 tons
Tandem 23 tons
Gross 32 tons.”

“Nehoa St. Bridge, between Makiki St. and Ualakaa St., shall have emergency vehicle weight limits as:

Single Axle 16 tons
Tandem 24 tons
Gross 33 tons.”

“Puiwa Rd. Bridge, between Polo Hiwa Pl. and Polohilani Pl., shall have emergency vehicle weight limits as:

Single Axle 16 tons
Tandem 29 tons
Gross 40 tons.”

“Waihona Pl. Bridge, between Waihona St. and Waihona Pl. dead end, shall have a weight limit of 31 tons.”

“Wainihi St. Bridge, between Kipapa Dr. and Waimakua Dr., shall have a weight limit of 26 tons.”

“Waipahu St. Arch Bridge, between Awamoi St. and Malakeke St., shall have a weight limit of 30 tons.”

“Wyllie St. Bridge, between Liliha St. and Nuuanu Ave., shall have a weight limit of 37 tons.”

2. By amending thereto the following items:

N. Kuakini St. Bridges (Nuuanu Stream and Puehuehu Stream), between Liliha St. and Nuuanu Ave., shall have a weight limit of 23 tons; to read:

“N. Kuakini St. Bridges (Nuuanu Stream and Puehuehu Stream), between Liliha St. and Nuuanu Ave., shall have a weight limit of 22 tons.”

Laimi Rd. Bridge, betweem Easy and Henry Sts., shall have a weight limit of 16 tons; to read:

“Laimi Rd. Bridge, between Easy and Henry Sts., shall have a weight limit of 16 tons and emergency vehicle weight limits as:

Single Axle 15 tons
Tandem 18 tons
Gross 26 tons.”

Nuuanu Pali Dr. Bridge at Poli Hiwa Pl., shall have a weight limit of 23 tons; to read:

“Nuuanu Pali Dr. Bridge at Poli Hiwa Pl., shall have a weight limit of 23 tons and emergency vehicle weight limits as:

Single Axle 16 tons
Tandem 26 tons
Gross 36 tons.”

Pelekane Dr. Bridge, between Dowsett Ave. and Kaohinani Dr., shall have a weight limit of 25 tons; to read:

“Pelekane Dr. Bridge, between Dowsett Ave. and Kaohinani Dr., shall have a weight limit of 25 tons and emergency vehicle weight limits as:

Single Axle 16 tons
Tandem 30 tons
Gross 42 tons.”

3. By deleting therefrom the following item:

“Naio St. Bridge, between Hala Dr. and Houghtailing St., shall have a weight limit of 23 tons.”

Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
