Notice of Funding Availability
NATIONAL HOUSING TRUST FUND
HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAM
The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Community Services, through its Department of Budget and Fiscal Services Purchasing Division, is soliciting applications from qualified non-profit and for-profit agencies for the following programs:
1. NATIONAL HOUSING TRUST FUND (NHTF) PROGRAM, authorized by Title I of the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, Section 1131. Approximately $1,350,000 in funding for Fiscal Year 2019 and approximately $1,350,000 in funding for Fiscal Year 2020 may be used for the acquisition, rehabilitation, and construction of affordable housing for households earning 30 percent or less of Honolulu’s Area Median Family Income, subject to funding availability.
2. HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS (HOME) PROGRAM, created under Title II of the National Affordable Housing Act of 1990. Approximately $411,722 in funding for Fiscal Year 2018 may be used for the acquisition, rehabilitation, and construction of affordable housing, subject to funding availability.
Interested agencies may download the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) packet at http://www.honolulu.gov/pur/default.html under the “Bids for Goods, Services and Concessions” link provided.
Applications must be submitted to the Department of Budget and Fiscal Services Purchasing Division at Honolulu Hale, 530 South King Street, Room 115, Honolulu, Hawaii by the date and time as stated in the NOFA packet, as amended.
