VIDEO MONITORING FOR THE
RESTROOM ENTRANCES AND ADJACENT AREA AROUND
THE COURTYYARD AT BERETANIA COMMUNITY PARK; BASEYARD TRAILER ENTRANCES AND ADJACENT AREAS AT KAKAAKO REGSIONAL PARK; BASEYARD AREA, RECREATION BUILDING ENTRANCES AND INTERIOR AREAS AT PATSY T. MINK CENTRAL OAHU REGIONAL PARK; AND EXTERIOR GYM WALKWAY AND ADJACENT AREAS AT MANOA VALLEY DISTRICT PARK

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 2-32.3(b)(5), Revised Ordinances of Honolulu that the City and County of Honolulu (City) will be installing video surveillance cameras to monitor Beretania Community Park, Kakaako Regional Park, Patsy T. Mink Regional Park (CORP), and Manoa Valley District Park. These cameras will be employed for the general prevention and deterrence of criminal activity and to ensure the safety and security of the public and community we serve. The infrared video surveillance cameras will be used to achieve legitimate law enforcement objectives for legitimate public purposes. The infrared video surveillance cameras will begin operating and recording 10 calendar days after publication of this legal notice.

The General Public may submit written comments on the video monitoring to the City Council and the Department of Facility Maintenance at the following addresses:

CAMERA LOCATIONS AT BERETANIA COMMUNITY PARK

Seven (7) fixed-position, infrared surveillance cameras will be installed at the recreation building of Beretania Community Park, comprised of the following: two (2) cameras will be installed at the front of the building entrance, two (2) inside the interior courtyard, one (1) camera will be installed at the back of the recreation building and two (2) outside the building facing the street and parking lot. All cameras will operate continuously. The cameras will monitor the restroom entrances and the adjacent areas around the interior courtyard.

CAMERA LOCATIONS AT KAKAAKO REGIONAL PARK

Five (5) fixed-position, infrared surveillance cameras will be installed around the maintenance baseyard at Kakaako Regional Park. The cameras will operate continuously. The cameras will monitor the baseyard entrances and the adjacent areas around the baseyard trailer.

CAMERA LOCATIONS AT PATSY T. MINK CENTRAL OAHU
REGIONAL PARK (CORP)

Thirteen (13) fixed-position, infrared surveillance cameras will be installed at the maintenance base yard and recreation building, comprised of the following: ten (10) cameras will be installed around the maintenance base yard located on the south end of CORP, and three (3) cameras will be installed in the interior of the recreation facility entrance. All cameras will operate continuously. The cameras will monitor the base yard area, recreation building entrances and the adjacent interior areas.

CAMERA LOCATION AT MANOA VALLEY DISTRICT PARK

One (1) fixed-position, infrared surveillance camera will be installed on the exterior gym wall. The camera will face the exterior walkway and grassy area. The camera will operate continuously. The camera will monitor the walkway and the adjacent areas around the walkway.
