NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BY THE COUNTY OF HAWAI’I DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE REVISING ADMINISTRATIVE RULES
RELATING TO THE REAL PROPERTY TAX DIVISION
Pursuant to Chapter 91 of the Hawai’i Revised Statutes and Chapter 19 of the Hawai’i County Code, notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Finance Director of the County of Hawai’i for the purpose of proposed changes to the Finance Director Rules and Regulations pertaining to Real Property Tax. All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing to state their views regarding the proposed changes either orally or in writing. Oral Public Testimony via Zoom (Note: if the Zoom connection is disrupted, the scheduled in-person meeting will continue): To provide oral testimony via Zoom, email cohfinance@hawaiicounty.gov or call (808) 961-8234 to complete the registration process and obtain meeting login information. Please contact our office to register by 12:00 noon, Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Submitting Written Testimony: To ensure timely delivery to the Finance Director prior to the meeting, written testimony must be submitted no later than 12:00 noon on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, by: (1) email to cohfinance@hawaiicounty.gov; (2) facsimile to (808) 961-8569; or (3) mail to the Director of Finance Office in Hilo at 25 Aupuni Street, Suite 2103 Hilo, Hawai’i, 96720. All written testimony, regardless of time of receipt, will be made part of the permanent record.
Copies of the proposed changes are also available at the Department of Finance, 25 Aupuni Street, Suite 2103, Hilo, Hawai’i, or by mail before the hearing, upon request. Cost of copies of $1.00 for the first page and $.10 for each additional page. Copies may be mailed to interested persons after payment of fees for copy and postage are received.
