NOTICE
OVERT VIDEO MONITORING AT THE
BUDGET AND FISCAL SERVICES, TREASURY DIVISION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 2-32.3(b)(5), Revised Ordinances of Honolulu 2021 that video monitoring cameras are being installed at the Treasury Division, 530 South King Street, Room 115, Honolulu, Hawai’i 96813.

The overt video monitoring cameras will be employed to enhance security and for the purposes of the general prevention and deterrence of criminal and unlawful activity. The video monitoring cameras will be used to achieve legitimate governmental objectives for legitimate public purposes. The video monitoring cameras will not be actively monitored but will begin recording ten (10) calendar days after publication of this notice.

The general public may submit written comments on the video monitoring to the Honolulu City Council and the Offices of Budget and Fiscal Services at the following addresses:

CAMERA LOCATIONS AT HONOLULU HALE

The video monitoring cameras will be installed at the entrances of the Treasury Division and areas where service transactions occur at 530 South King Street, Room 115 as described below. Five (5) video cameras (without pan/tilt/zoom capability) will be installed as follows:

1. Three (3) units in the Cashier window area of Room 115, inside the cashier windows #1, #2, #3 and #4;
2. One (1) unit at the main entrance facing north; and
3. One (1) unit in the hallway, facing the 2 service windows and staff entrance, facing west.
