NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to Chapter 91, Hawaii Revised Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation (HHFDC), Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism, State of Hawaii, will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at Waiahole Elementary School, 48-215 Waiahole Valley Road, Kaneohe, Hawaii, to create a new chapter,
Chapter 15-319, "Water Service to Consumers," Hawaii Administrative Rules (HAR). All are invited to state their views on the proposed rule orally or in writing.
Written testimony on these proposed rulemaking actions will be accepted through June 20, 2022 at the following address: HHFDC, Attention: Chris Woodard,
677 Queen Street, Suite 300, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813; or via email to christopher.j.woodard@hawaii.gov.
The new Chapter 15-319, HAR, will 1) Set forth a clear procedure for an application to obtain water service for new consumers; 2) Clarify the respective rights and responsibilities of the HHFDC and water consumers; 3) Establish a new water rate schedule and service fees; and 4) Establish a clear procedure for discontinuation of water service for nonpayment of bills or noncompliance with HHFDC requirements for service.
The public hearing will be held in person on June 20, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A paper copy of the proposed rules may be mailed upon receipt of a check made payable to "HHFDC" in the amount of $5.36 for Chapter 15-319 for copying and postage costs.
