PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing to be held by the Department of Planning and Permitting of the City and County of Honolulu, under the provisions of Section 6-1517 of the Charter of the City and County of Honolulu, for the following request for a variance of the Land Use Ordinance at the date and time specified or as soon thereafter as those interested may be heard:

Pursuant to HRS 92-3.5 and Proclamations issued by Governor David Ige relating to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Agent and Applicants may be participating in the meeting by interactive technology from remote locations.

APPLICATION: ZONING VARIANCE

LANDOWNERS: Yasuyo Ishii Trust (Parcel 55) and Lillian Sato Trust (Parcel 56) (2020/VAR-2) (ZS)

LOT AREA: 6,587 square feet
ZONING: R-3.5 Residential District
REQUEST: A zoning variance to allow the subdivision of a lot resulting in two lots, one of which would have less than the minimum lot area of 3,500 square feet.

TESTIMONY

Pursuant to the Proclamations issued by Governor David Ige relating to the COVID-19 Pandemic, in order to allow participation in a matter consistent with social distancing practices the following procedures are in effect for the meeting.

In-person testimony will be accepted. All testifiers must wear a mask while on Mission Memorial premises or they will not be allowed in the Auditorium. Mayor’s Emergency Order 2020-07.

Attendance at the public hearing is not necessary to submit testimony. Written testimonies submitted to the Department prior to the hearing will be considered in the evaluation of the request.
