Traffic Schedule No. 2019-10
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2019-10 TO AMEND SCHEDULE I OF SECTION 15-6.2(a) ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC SIGNALS (CITY); SCHEDULE II OF SECTION 15-6.2(b) ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC SIGNALS ON FEDERAL-AID HIGHWAYS (STATE); SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XVII OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(4) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–AM PEAK; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXVII OF SECTION 15-17.1 ESTABLISHING CROSSWALKS; SCHEDULE XXVIII OF SECTION 15-17.2(d) ESTABLISHING RESTRICTED PEDESTRIANS CROSSING ROADWAYS; SCHEDULE XXXVIII OF SECTION 15-24.17 ESTABLISHING MISCELLANEOUS TRAFFIC CONTROLS.
Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:
a. By amending Schedule I of Sec. 15-6.2(b) establishing traffic signals (City) by adding thereto the following items:
“California Ave-Nanea Ave.”
“California Ave-Rose St.”
b. By amending Schedule II of Sec. 15-6.2(b) establishing traffic signals on Federal-Aid Highways (State) by adding thereto the following item:
“Mokapu Blvd-Oneawa St.”
c. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following item:
“Ahuimanu Pl., for its entire length.”
d. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
“Circle Dr (eastern intersection)-California Ave. Traffic on Circle Dr. (eastern intersection) shall stop before entering California Ave.”
“Circle Dr (western intersection)-California Ave. Traffic on Circle Dr. (western intersection) shall stop before entering California Ave.”
“Hauola Ave-California Ave. Traffic on Hauola Ave. shall stop before entering California Ave.”
“Maluniu Ave, servicing 108 A-D, 120 A-D–Maluniu Ave. Traffic on Maluniu Ave., servicing 108 A-D, 120 A-D Maluniu Ave. shall stop before entering Maluniu Ave.”
2. By deleting therefrom the following item:
“Rose St-California Ave. Traffic on Rose St. shall stop before entering California Ave.”
e. By amending Schedule XVII of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(4) establishing tow zones—AM Peak by
deleting therefrom the following item:
“S. Beretania St., makai side, distance 320′ Ewa direction from a point 282′ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Kalakaua Ave., 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and State holidays.”
f. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
“Ahuimanu Pl., both sides, between Hui Koloa Pl. and Kahekili Hwy.”
“Kulaaupuni St., eastern side, distance 225′ northerly direction from a point 700′ north of the northern curb prolongation of St. John’s Rd.”
“Kulaaupuni St., western side, distance 43′ northerly direction from the northern curb prolongation of St. John’s Rd.”
g. By amending Schedule XXVII of Sec. 15-17.1 establishing crosswalks by amending thereto the following item:
Kulaaupuni St., 10′ wide, centerline 400′ Honolulu of Kaena property line of Maile Elementary School; to read:
“Kulaaupuni St., 10′ wide, 442′ south of the southern curb prolongation of Maliona St.”
h. By amending Schedule XXVIII of Sec. 15-22.1(a) establishing restricted pedestrian crossing roadways by adding thereto the following item:
“California Ave., the unmarked crosswalk across California Ave. on the western side of the intersection of California Ave. and Nanea Ave.”
i. By amending Schedule XXXVIII of Sec. 15-24.17 establishing miscellaneous traffic controls in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following item:
“Oneawa St., north-bound traffic in the western most lane must turn left at Mokapu Blvd.”
2. By amending thereto the following item:
Oneawa St., Makapuu bound, shall turn left from the extreme left lane; to read:
“Oneawa St., south-bound traffic in the eastern most lane must turn left at Kainui Dr.”
Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
