Apr 10NOTICE OF KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY RESURFACING, VICINITY OF MAKAI PIER TO HANAUMA BAY ROAD The Hawaii State Department of Transportation (HDOT) is proposing to resurface Kalanianaole Highway from Makai Pier to Hanauma Bay Road (approximately M.P. 6.9 to M.P. 12.49). The scope of work includes cold-planing; resurfacing; reconstructing weakened pavement areas; widening paved shoulders; upgrading grated inlets; upgrading and repairing existing culverts and headwalls; replacing damaged culvert with concrete pipe; addressing slope erosion near culvert; upgrading existing guardrails and end treatments; installing milled rumble strips, pavement markings and signage; and adjusting utility manholes.
