COUNTY OF HAWAII PUBLIC NOTICE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR 2020 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT-CORONAVIRUS (CDBG-CV2) FUNDING The County of Hawaii Office of Housing & Community Development (OHCD) anticipates receiving approximately $978,184.00 of Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus (CDBG-CV2) funds under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act). Under the CDBG-CV2 program, grants or loan assistance may be used by eligible public agencies and private non-profit organizations to prevent, prepare for and respond to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and are intended to target public health, housing, and economic recovery needs in Hawaii County that benefit low- and moderate-income persons and households. 2020 CDBG-CV2 PROJECT PROPOSAL FORMS The OHCD has prepared a Request for Proposal packet for eligible applicants to utilize the CDBG-CV2 funds. Project proposals submitted to the OHCD must also comply with the CDBG program criteria, meet eligibility requirements and program objectives. All original project proposals and two (2) copies must be received by 4:30 p.m. on July 13, 2020, by the OHCD at 1990 Kinoole Street, Ste. 102, Hilo, Hawaii 96720 or OHCD Kona Office 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii 96740. The proposal forms and federal guidelines covering the eligible activities will be available at the following locations beginning June 22, 2020, Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except on holidays.
