INSURANCE EXAMINER I/II (Position #120978)
The primary purpose of this position is to assist or perform the examination and financial analysis of the operations and practices of captive insurance companies. The purpose of the examination is to determine the financial condition of the licensee, evaluate its service providers and determine compliance with approved business plans, and applicable statutes, regulations and orders.
Minimum Requirements: Three to five years of progressively responsible work experience in accounting, auditing or examination of business operations, of which one to three years shall have been in the insurance field.

INSURANCE EXAMINER II/III (Position #116591)
The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical support and supervision of the financial surveillance of captive insurance companies, monitoring for solvency, conducting or coordinating field examinations of captive companies, and analysis of captive applications and business plan amendments within the context of applicable Hawaii Statutes.
Minimum Requirements: Five years of progressively responsible work experience in accounting, auditing or examination of business operations, or three years of specialized experience in accounting in the insurance field or of auditing or financial examination of insurance business operations. Also, one year of professional accounting or auditing supervisory experience.

INSURANCE PROGRAM SPECIALIST (Position #118637)
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Captive Insurance Administrator in developing and employing the policies, procedures and guidelines for the Branch and initiate, plan and formulate the financial and budgetary plans. This position will also plan and implement programs involving the statutorily mandated promotional and development of the captive insurance industry in Hawaii.
Minimum Requirements: Professional work experience in any field which involved work such as monitoring, evaluating, or conducting studies and analysis of programs or projects to make recommendations for the developing or revision of standards, policies, or techniques; gathering and analyzing data to determine conformance with standards and requirements and recommending improvements or developing training materials; giving technical advice and direction pertaining to program standards, requirements or techniques.
