VIDEO MONITORING FOR THE
2017 HONOLULU MARATHON

This Notice is to advise the General Public that the City and County of Honolulu (City) will be utilizing video monitoring for the 2017 Honolulu Marathon race. These cameras will be employed for the general prevention and deterrence of criminal activity and to ensure the safety and security of the public and community we serve. The monitoring will only be used to achieve legitimate law enforcement objectives for legitimate public purposes.

The video monitoring will begin 14 days after publication of this legal notice and will end on December 10, 2017. Cameras at the City’s current areas of video surveillance and the additional locations listed below will be utilized during this period. These cameras will be recording and may have tilt, pan, zoom, telescopic, and panoramic capabilities. They will not have audio monitoring or recording capabilities.

The General Public may submit written comments on the video monitoring to the City Council and the Honolulu Police Department at the following addresses:
